Here at PCOCC, we aim to create a safe and respectful space for students to come together and enjoy the outdoors, and do what we can to preserve and maintain the beautiful nature that surrounds us. Thus, we ask the following of each PCOCC member:

  1. No harassment, discriminatory behaviour, or violence (at events, on social media, on the Discord server… anywhere.). Such behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in a ban from the club.

  2. We ask that you pay respect to the land and the peoples’ land we are on by adhering to ‘leave no trace’ principles while participating in our events.
Examples include looking into whose land you are on by referencing the map linked below before you go on a hike, staying on the designated walking path to reduce your environmental impact and proper garbage disposal at designated waste bins. For more information, reference the websites below or reach out to our executive team.

  3. Finally, remember that everyone was a beginner once and we all have different abilities and goals when we go outside. Be supportive of your fellow members to help keep PCOCC as accessible and welcoming as possible!

If you experience or witness any unsafe interactions within the club space and would like to report it to us, please complete the following form: https://forms.gle/EZx22m8jUQXDjiU59

Please note that PCOCC has limited control over incident reporting outcomes. We can remove and ban people from the club, but do not have the power to administer more serious consequences. Please refer to the links below for alternative Carleton-based reporting mechanisms:
