PAST EVENTS:

Thanksgiving Camping

Come join us on a weekend away to enjoy the outdoors! We will be camping outside at Bon Echo Provincial Park this fall.

Here, you will have the opportunity to camp, canoe, hike, and hangout with friends!

We will be meeting at Carleton at Parking Lot 7 and then driving there at 9am.

Reading Week Trip

Feeling bored during reading week? Come on a challenging hiking trip in the Western Uplands! We will be meeting in Parking Lot 7 on Oct. 18, and making our way via car.

Remember that this is not an easy trip, so be prepared to hike up to 16km-18km a day!

Reading Week Trip

We heard you were looking for a second reading week trip! This trip is a little bit easier than the first, and allows you to get an awesome camping experience in Algonquin Park!

Come join us in Parking Lot 7 on Oct. 22 to get some last minute fall camping in.

Introduction BBQ

What better way is there than to start your semester off with a BBQ?

On September 11th, PCOCC is hosting an introduction BBQ at Vincent Massey Park to provide an opportunity for everyone to get to know each other, and get an idea of what our amazing club is all about!

Snowman Building Contest

Rediscover your childlike wonder by building the best snowman Carleton U has ever seen! โ˜ƒ๏ธ

Submit a photo of a snowman or another similar snow sculpture you've built this season for a chance to win some awesome prizes, like free tickets to future events, gift cards, and more!

Send your snowman to our email, outdoors.carletoon@gmail.com using the subject line "Snowman Contest 2025" by February 28th to be entered! Keep an eye out for voting on our Instagram on March 1st.

Nordic Skiing

PCOCC is excited to announce our cross-country skiing event, coming up this Sunday, February 2nd from 1-3pm!
This event will be open to all experience levels, so whether you're a pro skier, or have never touched a pair of skis in your life, this day will be a blast for you.

We'll be meeting at the Rental Facilities located at the Remic Rapids parking lot, along the Kichi Sibi Winter Trail. (15 minute walk from Tunney's Pasture station if you are taking transit!)

Sledding

This winter have you been looking at your pool floaties and dying to use them again? Does your trash can lid just not get enough use? Get creative and bring anything but a sled January 31st at 6pm to Carlington Hill!

Rideau Canal Skating

PCOCC is making the most of the open canal this year, starting next weekend! Join us for an afternoon skate on the Rideau Canal.

Cozy Cabin Getaway

This cold Canadian weather won't stop us from having a good time! Join PCOCC on our cabin trip in Val-des-monts, Quebec, just an hour away from campus!โ˜ƒ๏ธ
This three-day adventure will be full of fun activities like hikes, snowshoeing, warm drinks, and games galore!
We'll leave from campus together on Friday afternoon and be back by Sunday evening.

Amazing Race

Do you have what it takes to compete in the second annual PCOCC Amazing Race?
We'll start the event at Hartwell's Locks next to Carleton before we race across the great Arboretum and the Carleton campus, following clues to reach each subsequent location. We'll have exciting prizes up for grabs for winners, including MEC gift cards, $20 vouchers for PCOCC events, and delicious treats!

End of Semester Pub Night

As the semester quickly comes to an end, we want to celebrate it in the best way possible with you all! Join us for PCOCC's last official event of the semester, a Pub Night at Ollie's on Friday, November 29th! We'll have games, trivia (& prizes), and appetizers on us!

Halloween Hike

"PCOCC: Return of the Halloween Hike" sounds like a spooky movie we'd watch! Join us this Sunday for our annual Halloween Hike in Gatineau Park. We'll explore the Mackenzie King Estate and more, enjoy warm drinks and treats and maybe even tell some scary stories!๐Ÿ‘ป๐ŸŽƒ

Fall Frolic

Nobody panic... but PCOCC'S Fall Folic is back! Join us this Tuesday, October 22 to explore Gatineau Park's beautiful Pink Lake Trail on a beautiful day.
We'll meet at P7 on campus and drive together to this hike. Bring some comfy clothes and a veerrry optional swimsuit (if you dare swim)!๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿž๏ธ

Car Camping

lanning on doing a lot of reading this reading week? Us either!
PCOCC invites you to join us on our next camping trip, happening next week! Visit Achray in Algonquin park just in time to see the fall colours and some gorgeous wildlife before winter comes around. On this car camping trip we'll keep things cool, going on some nice hikes during the day and hanging out on our sites enjoying some games and campfires and night.

Pumpkin Picking

It's Pumpkin season!!! Join PCOCC as we venture out to Fallowfield Tree Farm to enjoy the fall festivities and pick some pumpkins!๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ‚
At this event we'll enjoy a fun farm visit where we'll have access to a corn maze, wagon rides, and might just see some sheep and kittens! We'll end the evening by roasting some marshmallows by a campfire, and head home with our arms full of pumpkins!

Rock Walk

Join us for a short walk to Hog's Back park to learn some neat rock facts about Ottawa's local geology. Be sure to grab your free ticket for this event on our website, and meet us Saturday morning at the Rideau River Pedestrian Bridge!

Bon Echo Camping

Got plans for Thanksgiving weekend yet? Well, you do now! Join PCOCC as we explore the beautiful Bon Echo Provincial Park on a three-day car camping extravaganza! Take some time to enjoy the beautiful fall colours on various hiking and canoeing day trips with fellow adventurers.

Dowโ€™s Lake Paddle Adventure

Spend a day on the water at PCOCCโ€™s next event! Paddle with us around Dowโ€™s Lake and the Rideau Canal, and enjoy the view on a beautiful day before the weather gets too cold.

CU @ Sunset

PCOCCers, grab your backpacks... because it's time for the first official sunset hike of the year!
This evening trek will take place at Gatineau Park, where we'll explore the Pink Lake trail. Join us for a lovely walk through the fall foliage, and stop at the top to enjoy a beautiful sunset with some warm drinks and snacks for all.

City Cycle

Tired of long traffic jams but still want to explore the city? Join us for a fun cycling tour of some of Ottawaโ€™s coolest spots!
Ride along the stunning Rideau Canal, visit the beautiful grounds of Rideau Hall, soak in the views at the majestic Rideau Falls, and check out the iconic Parliament.

Intro Social

We're back and ready for another year of amazing adventures!

PCOCC Bike Mechanic Night

Bike nerds! Come and hang out with non-certified bike mechanic PCOCC peeps who we promise still know a ton about bikes and learn how to look after your wonderfully awesome two wheel creature companion!

Canoegiving

Join some awesome adventure humans this Thanksgiving weekend Oct 7-9 and give thanks for goldfish crackers, canoe trips and the Canadian wilderness.

Fall Frolic

Come and frolic through the fall leaves with PCOCC this Thansgiving weekend! Everyone needs copious amounts of nature to fulfil their outdoorsy mental health quota!

Whitewater PCOCC

Come and take on the whitewater with the best club on campus, PCOCC!

Tickets are $60 and include rafting from 10 AM - 3 PM ish on Saturday September 30. PCOCC is attempting to arrange rides from Carleton to the rafting location for those that sign up!

PCOCC On Two Wheels

Do you walk around with a bike helmet permanently on your head?

Come join PCOCC and fellow bike enthusiasts Friday September 29 at 3 PM - 6 PM ISH and go for a leisurely bike ride down the Rideau Canal and around the Ottawa River!

FREE but limited tickets will go on sale Saturday September 23 at 3:00 PM on our website (link in bio) but here is what you can expect on this awesome two wheeled adventure!:

-You must bring your own fully working bike

-Please bring a helmet (those wild Canadian coconuts are dangerous)

-30 km ish of LEISURELY biking (where conversation can still easily occur)

-We will be departing from and returning to campus

-You need to have both a $15 PCOCC Membership and a free ticket to this event in order to attend

PCOCC Welcome Back BBQ

Come and chill with some of the coolest humans around and enjoy some free food with the best club on campus!

Tickets (make sure to get one in the store) are free, but please make sure that you have purchased a PCOCC membership for this year, have filled out the food order form and have signed our waiver!

Looking forward to seeing everyone Thursday September 14 6-9 PM and getting hyped for the outdoor adventures to come this season!

End of Year Social

Social is Tuesday, April 11 from 7pm-10pm. No pressure to come at the exact start time or stay the entire night :)

Tickets will be live on the PCOCC website store (link in bio) on Friday, April 7 at 10am. Tickets are free, just there to limit group size. Drinks and most snacks/food will be your own cost.
