As part of your PCOCC membership, you can rent the club’s gear at no cost for your own outdoor adventures! Here’s how it goes down:

  • You are entitled to one set of gear for yourself (e.g. one sleeping bag, one mat, one headlamp, one tent). If your adventure buddies also need gear, they’ll need to purchase a club membership, even if they’re not Carleton students.

  • The gear is located at a few execs’ houses in Ottawa: you will be responsible to pick the gear up and return it to them.

  • Please make sure the gear you return has been completely dried (even if it didn’t rain!), tents have been shaken out, and cookware has been washed.

  • The availability of gear to be borrowed is not guaranteed, as we may have multiple gear rentals ongoing and our official trips are given priority. Please make sure you book your gear in advance (we ask that you inquire at least 2 weeks before your trip)!

To book your gear rental, shoot us an email at outdoors.carleton@gmail.com! Gear inquiries on any other platform will just be redirected to email, so please don’t DM us about gear. :)
